Dynalab Test Systems NX View

               NX View

· The top panel contains error information on two lines. The top line contains the same information that is displayed on the first line of the NX Tester’s display. In the example above, an OPEN error is displayed, and there are a total of 10 errors. The second line contains the same information that is displayed in the fourth line of the NX Tester’s display. In the example above, the continuity threshold is displayed as 1.000Kohm and the measured value is displayed as 1.000Kohm+.

· The second panel displays the two fixture block-pin connection points associated with the error. In the example above, fixture block A, pin 2 and fixture block C, pin 2 are associated with the OPEN error.

· The third panel displays an optional graphical depiction of the connector associated with the fixture block. This graphic is generated by NX View based upon information provided in the Fixture Blocks view of the NX Editor.

· The fourth panel displays the wire name and colour if these parameters have been defined in the Connections view of the NX Editor.

· The fifth panel displays an optional document associated with the fixture block or the connection group. Each of these 5 panels can be re-sized as desired by pointing the mouse to one of the splitter bars that separates the panels and moving it to the desired height.

The NX View error display is divided into five panels

The following is an example of the kind of information that NX View displays when the NX tester is displaying an error.

NX View
NX View is a software application residing on a PC. Using a serial connection to a NX Tester, NX View displays information from the NX Tester on the PC's monitor. In addition to the normal error and status messages, NX View provides graphical representations of connectors, showing the operator which connectors and cavities are associated with the displayed error.

On the same screen, NX View can display instructional information that originates from a variety of sources: documentation files, graphics files, movie files - anything that can be displayed in a web browser can be displayed on NX View. This enables operators to be more effective in dealing with specific error conditions or assembly operations. NX View also allows the operator to interact with the NX Tester entirely through the PC's keyboard and mouse.
